Our Statement of Belief
God
We believe there is only one God, and He is the Creator of all the created – Gen. 1:1; Ps. 33:6-9; Ps. 86:9-10; Is. 43:10-11; John 1:1-3.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is God revealed in the flesh, born by the Virgin Mary. We believe He was crucified, He died and was buried; He rose from death on the third day and later ascended into heaven. We believe His death on the Cross and resurrection brought redemption to mankind – Is 9:6; John 14:9; Matt. 1:18-25, Is 53:4-10; I Pet. 2:24; Gal. 3:13, I Cor. 15:3; Rom. 4:25
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third Person in the trinity. We believe salvation and spiritual life can only be obtained through regeneration by the Holy Spirit – John 3:5-6; John 14:16-17; John 15:26; Matt. 3:16; John 16:8; Eph 1:17-19; II Thess. 2:13; I Cor. 6:11.
The Trinity
We believe in the Trinity – One God in three Persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost – Gen. 1:16-29; Matt. 3:16-17; Matt. 18:19.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the Holy Scripture written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit – II Tim. 3:16-17; II Peter 1:21.
Man
We believe man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained – Gen. 1:26-31; Rom 5:12-21; We believe man has a divine covenant to dominate all other creatures – Gen. 1:26-28.
Baptism
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost – Matt. 28:19; Acts 2:38; Rom. 6:1 – 23; Col. 2:12. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues – Acts 2:4; Acts 19:2-6.
Holy Matrimony
We believe marriage is between a man and a woman. One husband, one wife – Heb. 13:4; Matt. 5:31-32, 19:9; Mark 10:11-12; Luke 16:18; Rom. 7:2-3; Mal. 2:13-16; Gen. 2:18: Matt. 19:4-6.
Devil
We believe there is a devil, who brought sickness, sin and death into the world – Gen. 3:1-16. We believe he can be resisted – Matt. 4:1-11; James 4:7; I Peter 5:8. We believe God places limitation on him – Job 1:12.
